Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of PERMANENT hair removal. It was invented in 1875 to remove ingrown eyelashes. Electrolysis hair removal involves using a tiny probe inserted into a hair follicle and applying a small amount of electric current. The salt water in the skin reacts with the current destroying the blood supply and follicle tissues, inhibiting the hair from growing back!

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are very different. Laser hair removal is useful for reducing the hairs in an area, but is often not permanent. Laser works best on light skin/dark hair combination and isn’t really effective on grey, blonde or red hair. Laser is unable to be safely applied on dark skin or tattoos while electrolysis can.
Electrolysis is safe and effective for tattooed skin, dark skin, curly hair, light colored and fine hairs.
Some folks experience hair regrowth 2-3 years after laser and others have experienced paradoxical hypertrichosis (laser can stimulate hair growth) in certain areas as a result.
Electrolysis is permanent hair removal.
Electrolysis takes time manually treating each follicle by hand; laser treatments take less time but with less permanency and consistency.
Laser can be very beneficial in large areas (back, legs, bikini) to reduce and thin the hair, then followed up by electrolysis to permanently remove the remaining hairs.
I think both are beneficial when done correctly and I am not trying to knock anyone’s path in hair removal.
Some people only do laser and have success, some only do electrolysis. Others do a combo of laser and electrolysis and have success in their hair removal journey. I’m here to be apart of your hair removal team!

Electrolysis works on all skin types and skin tones. It is more effective for curly hair than other methods and it can be done safely, and effectively on tattooed skin.
With manually adjustable and updated technology, and the four modalities of electrolysis hair removal, each treatment is catered to the client’s specific needs being versatile for any treatment area.
Electrolysis is permanent and can be done gently with definite results.

Each person responds differently to electrolysis and each part of the body has varying sensitivity. There is some discomfort, yes, but it is tolerable. You should only feel sensations while treating the hair, not while inserting the probe (since we are not piercing any skin, just sliding the probe into the follicle next to the hair). There is a balance to discomfort and adequate treatment, we will find what settings works best for you.

Everyone’s hair removal journey will be different. If you stick to your treatment schedule and be consistent, most folks see their desired results anywhere from 12-18 months.
Sticking to your treatment schedule is the best way to get results faster. All hairs grow in growth cycles and we can only see 1/3 of the hairs that are actually in the area while the others are in different growth cycles underneath the skin ( I’ve included a undergrowth photo below ). We need to catch the hairs while they are actively growing to ensure they are adequately treated. Electrolysis cannot be rushed for this reason and is also why treating them regularly is most effective.

Only visible hairs are able to be treated. If you pluck, wax, or tweeze please stop! You are welcome to shave the area until about 3-4 days before your appointment. We need some hair length to be able to treat and remove the hair with tweezers.
Plucking, waxing and tweezing are often counterintuitive to hair removal. While it is gone temporarily, you may be causing the hairs to grow back deeper and thicker over time with the continuous irritation and blood flow to the hair follicle. This can also cause distorted follicles, making it difficult to insert the probe into and treat the hair follicle.
